Son of Russian tycoon goes on the run after 'beating porn star to death and seriously assaulting four prostitutes'

Authorities in Russia are looking for the 'golden boy' son of a Russian tycoon who is on the run after allegedly beating a porn star to death and assaulting four prostitutes. 

Andrey Demenkov, 32, an ex-Gazprom executive and son of Valery Demenkov, 69, a former senior policeman turned wealthy business tycoon, struck mother-of-one Olga Kudrova, 21, more than 100 times with a blunt instrument, according to the criminal case against him.

It was also claimed in a forensic report, that he also sought to drown her in a bath but she died from a blow to the temple.

Police say the woman worked as an escort as well as being an adult actress, but before visiting Demenkov she told relatives she was seeing the man she loved.

According to Police, the suspect father found Kudrova's battered body in the bath after going to his son's apartment when he failed to answer his phone. He then called an ambulance but she was found to have died of her injuries.

Four other women, all sex workers were also attacked and suffered serious injuries, said police.  

According to Mail Online, Andrey had allegedly kidnapped and 'severely beaten' a 32-year-old woman at his St Petersburgapartment back in July.

The publication also revealed that the 32-year-old had been convicted of kidnapping a woman friend and subjecting her to a four-day ordeal including 'torture' before she escaped by a 'miracle' after managing to alert neighbours.

Police are now warning that Demenkov who they have nicknamed 'Bluebeard' is a danger to women from violence and holding them against their will.

A law enforcement source said: 'We are looking for a criminal, but in fact, this is someone who… is a kind of 'Bluebeard'.

On his social media he posted 'Too weird to live, and too rare to die', and in another account 'Never believe a woman'.

A model has put her old boobs up for sale after devoted fans offered her thousands for the second-hand implants. Glamour girl Taylor Rose, 26, has taken to Twitter to tout her old breast implants after inflating her latest pair to a whopping 30H.

And she hopes that she may be able to partly cover the cost of her recent operation after dedicated fans filled her inbox with cash offers.

Currently, the highest bid is £1,500 but the auction is set to continue for a further week.

Taylor, of Northamptonshire, said: “I wasn’t planning to do this at all. I had no idea people were interested in things like this.“But when I said I was going to have another operation, I started receiving offers.

“So I thought, why not?” Taylor was a 30G but wanted to go even bigger and when she mentioned it to her fans online, several asked if they could buy her old implants when they were removed.

She went under the knife last week and told her doctor of her plans. He agreed to save the manky old silicone enhancements, but only if the adult star signed a form confirming that she wanted to keep them.

Taylor said: “I think he thought I was mad.“But when I woke up, he had cleaned them and wrapped them in packages.“He’d even labelled which one was my left and right implant.”

The popular cam girl hopes to be able to sell the implants for thousands, but insists she will throw in postage and packaging for free.And her friends and family think her latest stunt is hilarious.

Taylor joked: “They think its funny but they’re not surprised by it.“I’m quite a spontaneous person so when someone got in touch and asked if they could buy them, I just thought ‘why not’. “I’m happy to sell them separately if there’s a demand for it.“I have no idea what someone will do with them, maybe they’ll put them on the mantelpiece?”

Alongside the offers of cash, Taylor says she’d had some unusual requests for extras.

She said: “One man wanted to buy them but asked me to include a pair of worn pants. “And another wants me to wear a pair of trainers and get them really muddy.“Working at Babestation means I’ve got used to all sorts of crazy and unusual requests.”

Pope Francis expels Chilean priest Christian Precht amid sex abuse scandal

Pope Francis has expelled the Chilean priest Cristian Precht Bañados who is under investigation for child sex abuse.

The Archdiocese of Santiago said the Pope had decided to defrock the Reverend, Cristian Precht, local daily El Mercurio reported.

Precht was a former head of the Church’s Vicariate of Solidarity human rights group that in the 1980s had challenged ex-dictator Augusto Pinochet to end the practice of torture in Chile. The well-known Chilean religious leader has since been accused of sexual abuse as part of the investigation into allegations against members of the Marist Brothers religious community. Precht has previously denied the charges.

Precht's defrocking is the first formal resignation the Pope has decreed since every bishop in Chile offered to step down in May over the country's sex abuse scandal. The move is thought to be unprecedented in the modern history of the Catholic Church.

Pope Francis announcement comes as Chilean police raid church offices throughout the Andean nation looking for new cases of sexual abuse or evidence that church officials concealed abuse from authorities.

Newly-apointed acting Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed resumes office

Acting Minister of Finance; Mrs Zainab Ahmed has resumed duty 3 days after President Muhammadu Buhari assigned her to control the affairs of the ministry as a result of the resignation of Mrs Kemi Adeosun on the 14th of September.

 

According to The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Zainab Ahmed was the Minister of State, Budget and National Planning before she was appointed as the minister of finance.

 

President Buhari appointed Ahmed on Friday to control the ministry of finance following the outcome of an investigation into allegation made in an online medium of Kemi Adeosun's Certificate of Exemption from National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).The certificate was later discovered not to be genuine. 

 

 Zainab Ahmed has described her new responsibilities as challenging. She explained this on Monday after she was being received by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance, Dr. Mahmoud Isa-Dutse alongside Directors of the Ministry. 

 

“These are very challenging times for our country. It means we are part of the economic team that has been charged with making sure there is economic stability in our country. 

 

“We have very serious revenue challenges and it is up to us to shore up the revenues of this country. 

 

“Mr president has a lot of confidence that we can do this very well together. We are working for Mr president, but at the end of the day we are working for the benefit of the citizens of our country. 

 

“There are a lot of sacrifices that I know that you have done, and we are going to push ourselves to still do more so that at the end of the day we will say Alhamdulillah– glory be to God!” she stated. 

 

She advised the ministry staff and officials to stay prepared  for the challenges ahead, noting that all everyone must be ready to work with her to succeed in her assignment. 

 

“The finance ministry has overtime been known to have very skilled personnel; from interacting with some of you, I know that there is a lot of skill set within the ministry, and that I am in good hands.

 

 “I plan to work very closely with the whole of the directors, most especially with the permanent secretary. 

 

“I want to declare that today the Permanent Secretary is my new next-of-kin. What that means is that I am going to work hand-in-gloves with him, and I expect everybody to do the same thing. 

 

“There are some things I know about finance, but there is a lot that I don’t know; and the knowledge resides in you.”

 

 “I have been told that you are preparing handing-over notes, or more correctly briefing notes; I will be engaging each of you on a one-on-one basis with the Permanent Secretary, so that I can have a complete view of what is in the ministry,” she explained. 

 

Mrs. Zainab Ahmed who was the Minister of State Budget and National Planning, has served in several sensitive positions in the past including being the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, while she also served as the Managing Director of Kaduna Investment Company and member of the National Stakeholders Working Group (NSWG).

Over 10 banks are being sealed by Oyo State Government in Ibadan

Not less than 12 banks in Ibadan, Oyo state capital were sealed on Monday, September 17, by the state government. This was done by the state?s Board of Internal Revenue concerning that alleged non-payment of environmental development levy spanning over three years.

The act of sealing the banks was carried out by two law enforcement teams from the board who stormed the banks, prevented the banks staff from continuing with their daily activities.

However, some officials of the banks tried to stop the teams from sealing their premises, but all efforts was to no avail as security agencies attached to the teams intervened, thereby rendering the bank officials powerless.

The affected banks are located in Dugbe, Ring Road, Challenge, Jericho, Bodies, Mokola and Iyaganku areas of Ibadan.

The amount owed by the banks according to the board ranged from N800,000 to N5m. The disruption of activities led to customers finding it impossible to access the premises while those inside had to leave through alternative routes.

As regards the incident, the chairman of the board: Bicci Alli made it clear that the banks were given enough notice, as letters were written to them and time to pay up their debt.

He explained:

We wrote letters to them to perfect their books but they did not do the right thing. We published reminders in two national dailies but we did not get their response."

?It is unfortunate that we had to use this method to force them to do the right thing. It is a continuous exercise that will end at the end of the week.?

CBN says banks will pay N10,000 fine for any failed instant payment transaction not reversed into the customer’s account within 24 hours

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued a new directive that banks will pay a fine of N10,000 for every money transfer that exceeds four minutes.

The apex bank made this known in a circular, ‘Circular on the regulation on instant inter-bank electronic funds transfer services in Nigeria’ issued to all deposit money banks, microfinance banks, other financial institutions, mobile money operators, development finance institutions, payment service providers and other stakeholders.  

CBN said any failed instant payment transaction not reversed into the customer’s account within 24 hours, based on the complaint of the sender and/or beneficiary will attract a fine of N10,000.  According to the letter signed by ‘Dipo Fatokun, CBN’s director, banking and payments system department, the regulation will be effective from October 2, 2019.  According to the apex bank, electronic funds transfer or a NIP happens between two distinct entities when the delivery from the sending entity to the receiving entity takes place within one minute (60 seconds), while a payments system where delivery to the receiving entity occurs beyond one minute is considered to be an ACH system.

 According to the document, on an occasion where a sending entity erroneously sends value contrary to the customer’s instructions due to wrong account number, wrong amount, duplication among others to a receiving entity and requested the reversal in writing within 14 working days of the transaction, the receiving entity should oblige within one business day without recourse to the customer (beneficiary) of the receiving entity provided funds are available.  An automatic indemnity would be inferred against the sending entity making the reversal request.

INEC bars phones, cameras, electronic devices in polling booths ahead of Osun governorship election this weekend

Ahead of next Saturday September 27th governorship election in Osun state, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, today said  voters will not to be allowed to come with any electronic device that is capable of recording sounds and images inside the polling booths during the election.

Yakubu disclosed this at a stakeholders’ forum in Osun state today September 17th.

The chairman of the electoral commission said that the new development would help to reduce vote-buying and selling which politicians have adopted.

Emma Higginson, 35, was battered to a pulp when she turned down a man who wanted to have sex with her in her room in the Turkish holiday resort Icmeler. He beat her so much that she suffered a fracture to her skull, eye socket and nose. When she was found, her room’s sheets, walls and tiles were left covered in blood.

Brit car salesman Declan Marshall, 27, has been arrested by police in Turkey in relation to the assault.

Speaking from her hospital bed in Marmaris, Emma told The Sun:

I want everyone to see what this man has done to me.

My mum and sister could barely recognise me. I’m in so much pain.

I’m covered in bruises and I just want to go home but can’t as the doctors say my injuries are too bad to fly.

One of my teeth fell out this morning and I’m going to need plastic surgery to get my face back to normal.

The man who did this to me is an animal. He’s a complete nutter and should be locked up for a long time.

The attack happened last week. Emma, from Kent, was with pals when they met Marshall in a nightclub and they offered him the sofa to sleep on as he said he had no way to get home.

Emma said:

I went to my room and fell asleep but a few minutes later he was in my bed trying to have sex with me.

I said I wasn’t interested.

I remember him saying I had no respect but I said I had a boyfriend. Then he hit me twice and I blacked out. When I woke up I was on the balcony and there was blood everywhere. My friend woke up to me screaming and he ran out of the apartment.

She added:

I’ve got 50 stitches, I can’t speak properly and I’m in so much pain.

Marshall, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested in a nearby hotel after police used CCTV from the nightclub. He is being held in custody and is due in court this week.

Woman's horror after Galaxy Note 9 "burst into flames" inside her purse (photos)

A woman who claims her Galaxy Note 9 smartphone "burst into flames" inside her purse is suing Samsung.

Diane Chung, a US real estate agent, says the new Note 9 model launched earlier this year is dangerous and hers caught fire in her purse, according to the New York Post.

Chung claims that just after midnight on September 3, while travelling in a lift, her phone "became extremely hot". She said she had to stop using the phone and placed it in her bag. Shortly after, she said she "heard a whistling and screeching sound, and...noticed thick smoke" pouring out from her purse.

According to Chung, she put the bag on the lift floor and tried to empty it, allegedly burning her fingers when grabbing the phone. Chung reported feeling "extremely panicked" while trapped alone in the lift, dropping the phone and frantically pressing elevator buttons through thick smoke. Once she reached the lobby, she reportedly kicked the phone out while it was still burning.

In the lawsuit, which was filed with the Queens Supreme Court, Chung claims that the phone didn't stop smoking until someone picked it up with a cloth and put it in a bucket of water. Chung described the incident as "traumatic", saying she was left unable to contact clients and it left the contents of her bag ruined.

Now Chung is demanding damages from Samsung, calling the phone "defective" and asking for a restraining order that bans the sale of Galaxy Note 9 smartphones.

It comes just two years after Samsung was forced to recall an earlier Galaxy phone after dozens of users reported overheating, spontaneous fires, and even explosions.

Just last month, Samsung chief DJ Koh promised that his new phone definitely wouldn't explode: "The battery in the Galaxy Note 9 is safer than ever.

He continued: "Users do not have to worry about the batteries any more."

Following the incident with Chung, a Samsung spokesperson acknowledged the incident in a statement given to The Sun, but said it appeared to be an isolated case.

The spokesperson said:

Samsung takes customer safety very seriously and we stand behind the quality of the millions of Galaxy devices in use.

We have not received any reports of similar incidents involving a Galaxy Note 9 device and we are investigating the matter.
